<p>Tube for dosing substances in soln. is made of transparent material filled with a sorbant material. It is mfd. by narrowing one end of a transparent tube; closing this end with a liquid-permeable pad resting on the narrowed portion; introducing a dry sorbant material which is in the form of a flowable powder, compressing this filling with a piston of diameter adapted to that of the tube at 0.1-100, pref. 0.5-5 bars; and closing the tube with a liq.-permeable plug. It is used for dosing mercuric ions, sulphide ions and cyanide ions, clearly defined coloured zones being produced the lengths of which correspond to the concns. of ions under investigations.</p> |
