<p>A process for preparing improved solid lubricants, by modifying the surface characteristics of the solid lubricants using reactive chemical compounds, is disclosed. Prior art measures anticipate combinations of modifiers and solid lubricants as lubricating mixtures but do not disclose bonding modifiers with solid lubricants. Examples of the improved modified solid lubricants are molybdenum disulfide chemically bonded to polystyrene, polymethylmethacrylate or polydimethylsiloxane.</p> |
