<p>This is an addn. to 811893, which described a device for the cold forming of metal parts possessing a central body and radial extensions, the device consisting of a multi-segment die where the segments can be brought together, locked and pre-stressed, after which punches are inserted from both sides of the die to shape the part. In the present invention, adjacent die segments form cavities through which the initial blank is extruded to form the radial extensions on the metal part, i.e. the core of the die has extrusion outlets formed by the locked segments.</p> |
