<p>A quick release hose coupling (1) has a circular body which is provided with a stepped location hole for the hose S. A screw on sleeve (12) which has an internal end flange forms a ring chamber together with an installed hose. An O-ring (3) is placed next to the end face of the coupling body so that it is slightly expanded by the hose. Next to the O-ring is a flat support ring (4) which is acted on by a tapered spring washer (5). The spring washer is retained by the flange of the sleeve (2). Without pressure in the hose, it can be inserted or retracted from the coupling without difficulty since it is only held by the O-ring (3). When pressure is applied, the O-ring forces the support ring and the spring washer axially towards the sleeve flange.</p> |
