1493571 Pivots CUTLER - HAMMER WORLD TRADE INC 28 May 1976 [28 May 1975] 22423/76 Heading E2F [Also in Division H1] An electric switch actuator comprises a pivotable lever 14 having a pair of trunnions 14e, 14f positioned in holes 16c, 18c of a pair of inserts 16, 18 which are mounted with an interference fit in a bore of a mounting member 12. The lever 14 has an intermediate spherical portion 14d from which the trunnions 14e, 14f extend, each being received in a hole 16c, 18c in one of a pair of semi cylindrical plastics inserts 16, 18. The pair of inserts 16, 18 is fitted together by a projection (16a), 18a on each one fitting into a notch (18b), 16b in the other and is located in a bore of a bushing 12 of a switch housing 10 by tapered or rounded detents 18d provided at the lower ends of the inserts 16, 18 which are snap fitted into holes, recesses or an annular groove 12d in the bushing 12. Alternatively, the inserts 16, 18 are located in the bushing 12 by providing them with holes (20a) (Fig. 6, not shown), cutting a pair of vertical slits in the bushing 12 opposite each hole (20a) and bending the strip (12g) so formed into each hole (20a). |
