The magnetic tape cassette holder is connected with a mechanical linkage (95) including a concentric control face (150) with a re-entrant end face (98) and an extending link leading to a pivoted coupling (97) on the holder (109). The holder (109) has further a pivoted spindle (110) connecting it with the main frame and an angle bracket (111) connected with a fixing stud (123) by means of a tension spring (113). The mechanical control linkage (95) is guided by a contact roller (93) mounted on the end of a control block (92). The latter, and also the fixing stud (123) are mounted on the base plate (114) about which the cassette may be rotated in an automatic manner.
