PURPOSE:To improve the checking efficiency and accuracy by comparing a measuring value of the amount of the penetrating X rays obtained when super soft X rays irradiate a wrapped item from the outer surface thereof with a measuring value of the amount of the penetrating X rays obtained when super soft X rays irradiate said wrapped body while it is shaken under predetermined conditions. CONSTITUTION:As a wrapped body 1 is shaken in a shaking device 2 to mix the containing item of fluidity and the gas within the container, the wrapped body 1 is irradiated with super soft X rays by a super soft X ray radiating mechanism 4 from outer surface of the wrapped body 1. During this time, the item and the container are kept in the resonating state. Then, the amount of the penetrating X rays is measured. The measuring amount is compared with a measuring value of the amount of the penetrating X rays obtained when super soft X rays irradiate the wrapped body 1 to be checked in the state where the body is shaken under predetermined conditions. The presence or absence of abnormalities in the property of the containing item of the wrapped body 1 or the degree of the abnormalities is detected from the difference of the measuring values. Accordingly, there is no possibility of generating a loss in the checking process, and it is not necessary to confirm the checking by eyes, making it possible to check the entire number of the wrapped bodies. |
