<p>1437185 Polyester films having non-stick coating AGFA-GEVAERT 30 Aug 1973 [10 Oct 1972] 46727/72 Heading G2C [Also in Division B2] Polyester films having non-stick anchoring layers which do not stick to each other when pressed together at 130‹C at pressures up to 100 kg/sq.cm. the anchoring layers containing as binders, copolymers of vinyl chloride, of vinylidene chloride or acrylic or methacrylic acid esters, of vinyl esters or butadiene and contain 5 to 100 wt. per cent on the weight of the binder of a silane compound of the Formula, where each of R and R' are hydrogen, alkyl, chloroalkyl, aminoalkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyalkoxy, aminoalkoxy, epoxyalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy, acetyloxy, vinyl or phenyl, different alkyl and alkoxy groups containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms and each of R" and R"' are cyanoalkyl, aminoalkyl, aminoalkoxyalkyl, epoxyalkoxyalkyl, alkoxy carbonylalkyl, (meth) acryloyloxyalkyl, (meth) acrylamidoalkyl, chloroacetamidoalkyl, M(aminoalkyl)-aminoalkyl, bis-(hydroxyalkyl)-aminoalkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyalkoxy, aminoalkoxy, epoxyalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy, phenoxy, acetyloxy and 3[7-oxabicyclo-(4, 1, 0)-Heptyl]-alkyl, the alkyl or alkoxy groups containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms. Numerous suitable silanes are listed. Also listed are numerous suitable copolymers for the binder. The polyester is usually polyethylene terephthalate and the coated films may be used as coats for the manufacture of drafting film, coloured film materials, antistatic film materials and other applications in the graphic arts. The polyester film may be stretched before application of the afterlayers.</p> |
