In addition the element may be reinforced by vertical 131 and horizontal 132 square pipes welded together and positioned at each outer face of the element and interconnected by bolts 140 passing hermetically through the several layers of the element. The cellular honeycombs are made up by parallel thin metal strips spaced apart either by short strips perpendicular thereto or by strips formed with right - angled corrugations.
