In examples poly - (2,6 - dimethyl - 1,4 - phenylene) ether is obtained from 2,6-xylenol, the catalysts are complexes prepared from cupric bromide and di-n-butylamine and cupric chloride and di-n-butylamine and the copper ions are removed using as chelating agents ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, the disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, nitrilotriacetic acid and citric acid.</p> |
