In examples, their preparation is effected by reacting either (1) the trimethyldodecatrienyl bromide with 1-(benzo-1,3-dioxal-5-yl)methylpiperazine, or (2) 1-(trimethyldodecatrienyl)piperazine (II) with 1-(benzo-1,3-dioxol-5-yl)methyl chloride. Also prepared are the N-formyl and N-p-tosyl derivatives of II. Therapeutic compositions for oral or parenteral administration comprise the compound of the above formula, which has analgesic and antiinflammatory activity, spasmolytic action of the papaverinic type, and anti-gastric secretion and anti-ulcer activity but with absence of anti-cholinergic properties. |
