The cast pressure vessel has a cast vessel body (1) of circular cross-section, which has on its inside a steel lining (2) with stabilisation elements (3, 4) which point inwards and extend longitudinally and/or transversely. The steel lining (2) bears directly or via a thermally conductive filling compound (5) in a self-closed fashion against the inner wall of the cast vessel body (1). In order to permit an approximately optimum mode of operation for hot operation, the cast vessel body (1) is surrounded outside by a thermal insulation (7, 8). The residual heat transferred to the outside is dissipated via a cooling system, e.g. tubes through which water flows. The steel lining (2) and the cast vessel body (1) are held together by means of a circumferential clamping system (6).
