Apron comprises a flexible layer of material which is a poor conductor of heat, at >=1 portion of which can be moved away from the body of the wearer, pref. at the two bottom corners. Pref. this flexible layer is maintained between two layers of fabric, one of which may be that of the apron itself, to form a pocket for holding articles too hot to be held directly with the hand. The pocket may be open along the diagonal between the edges of the lower corner. In the latter case, easy access to the pockets is provided. The pocket forms a kind of oven glove fixed directly to the apron and therefore always available. Apart from household use, the arrangement may apply to any protective garment used in handling hot objects.
|
