<p>The hose clip assembly consists of two brackets (3) and a strip (1) which fits round the hose or pipe on which the clip is to be mounted. A nut is mounted on one of the brackets and a screw passes through a hole in the other bracket. Two sections are sheared out of each bracket so that lips (16) are formed which remain attached at one end to the brackets. The lips are bent down and formed into hooks which face in the direction in which the clamp brackets will be pulled together by the screws. The metal strip on which the clamps are to be mounted have holes (9) in which the brackets can be hooked. When the brackets are pulled together, the clip is pulled tight over the hose.</p> |
