The flushing device is for water closets where a water container (1-3) is in permanent and direct connection with a water feed line (22). Specific., the water container is closed at its bottom end with a water outlet valve (12-18) and at its top end with an air outlet valve (32-38) which closes when the water in the container rises above a given level. More specif. the air outlet valve body is connected with a float in the water container via pivotable arms on a bracket. The water container is a vertical pipe of approximately 63 mm dia. and 90 cm in height.
