The device for forming a lattice for supporting vines, comprises a stake (1) of C-section and having a hole (4) in which is retained a peg (5) supporting two cranked arms (9). The arms extend upwards and outwards when close to the interior of the C, but extend downwards parallel to the stake (1) when moved out of the C. The peg (5) is formed with a stop (6) and receives a retaining pin (8). The peg (5) is stepped along its length to prevent unwanted displacement of the peg (5). The arms have perforations (13, 14) receiving the wires for supporting the plants. The ends of the arms are rounded to prevent damage to machines for culturing or gathering the fruit.
