The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for promoting gastrointestinal motility, containing a black garlic extract as an active ingredient. The black garlic extract shows stark effectiveness in that the movement area in the gastrointestinal motility increases compared to a control group. Therefore, the composition of the present invention can be useful as an active ingredient used in the pharmaceutical composition for promoting gastrointestinal motility.
