The fittings enable the door of a vehicle to slide along its guide rail and be lifted upwards for a limited amount. It comprises a U-shaped arm (2), having the shorter leg forming a pivot for the sliding door gear. The longer arm forms a pivot (7) for the door. A plate (8) has the pivot sleeve attached to one edge and is held on the arm by a spring (10). One end is held by a pin (15) in the plate, the other on the pivot. A spring loaded locking pin (18, 19) in the plate engages a recess (20) in the pivot, providing the limited movement.
