<p>The cutting unit for paper or other thin sheet material has two interacting rotating cutting wheels which have approx. parallel rotational axes and which partly overlap one another in the radial direction. Each cutting wheel has a circumferential cutting edge. The two cutting wheels (10, 11) are mounted rotatably in a common carrier (14, 15) which permits the handling of the cutter as a single unit. The carrier has two independent bearing blocks for each of the wheels so that the two blocks (14, 15) are joined together by a U-shaped plate (16) with two limbs which are on each case attached to one of the two blocks.</p> |
