<p>Solid domestic waste matter contg. fibrous material with a low resistance to humidity and mainly combustible content, is mixed with a combustible liq. The mixt. is agitated so as to disperse the combustible liq. throughout the solid waste so as to reduce its resistance to disintegration, and then subjected to homogenisation to reduce the solid matter to a mass of particles. Finally the mass is impregnated with a combustible liq. to give a combustible prod. in the form of pulverised and homogenised particles. The prod. has a calorific value relatively high compared to domestic waste alone, and burns regularly. It burns readily in furnaces with spreaders and mobile hearths, and esp. with low grade coal in the proportion of 22% waste and 78% coal.</p> |
