<p>The steering mechanism is used in dumpers used in the building trade. It includes a link bar connected at one end to the centrally pivoted axle of the dumper and at the other end to a pivoted lever operated by the steering wheel through a steering casing. The link bar consists of a cylinder (13) with two international spiral springs (16, 17) separated by a disc, forming a piston, attached to a shaft (22). The end attached to the axle is provided with an eyed-pin (19) screwed into a cap (18) and the other end has an adjustable stopper (20) which enables the compression in the springs to be varied. The shaft protrudes through the stopper and is attached to a cylinder provided with a pin which connects to the pivoted lever of the steering mechanism.</p> |
