<p>The strips (4) have a central wire (8) which is precut, at desired intervals, between a set of two rollers (10, 16) having a circumference equal to the lengths of strip required. The top roller has a knife edge (20) and the bottom roller is provided with a ring (14) rotating around a ball-bearing race (12). The strip is then fed, already glued and glued side to the exterior, onto a suction wheel, provided with orifices around its circumference, which has a diameter equal to a whole number multiplied by the lengths of strip required. V-shaped knife edges on the wheel cut the strip, this strip occurring a few millimetres in front of the cut already made in the wire. The strips are then rolled onto the cylindrica boxes which are pressed against the suction wheel.</p> |
