The bolts or screws (20) with a threaded (23) shaft (22) projecting axially from a heat (21) of truncated pyramid form may be used to fix decorative horse-shoes (10) on a wall. The shaft (22) projects from the lesser head (21) end, and the head form equates to that of a horse-shoe nail. The shoe (10) has fixing holes (15) of similar truncated pyramid form, and the bolts (20) hold the shoe in place by a recessed wedging action. The bolt heads (21) may have a metallic finish which contrasts that of the shoe (10) and may or may not screw onto the shaft (22). The far opening (18) of the shoe hole (15) may be rebated (19) to accommodate the catches of spring-clipping bolt-head dummies.
