The large dia. bale tying system produces a helix line of twine by a swivel guide arm which draws the twine along an entry slot running along a cylindrical casing enclosing the forming chamber. The arm has two twine guides at the end which are spaced in the arm swivel plane by an amount as large as the pitch of the turns of twine round the bale. The arm has a guide stay at the end which lies in the swivel plane of the arm and carries the guides. After passing round the bale, the two twine strands are severed by a common cutter. The guides may be adjustable sideways on the arm.
|
