The holder for a spare wheel under the floor is for a passenger motor car. The spare wheel is recovered and lowered through an opening in the boot floor by a rope. The wheel is readily stowed and recovered and is securely held in lifted position. The rope has at one end a support engaging with the wheel centre hole. The other end of the rope has a lifting holder. The support (7) has a threaded bolt (8) with a circular. The bolt is fastened by the flat top handle in the form of circular nut (11). The bolt is passed through a keyhole shaped opening in the floor and the nut tightens the tyre and wheel against the floor panel (5) underside. The round nut (11) is held in the matching seat in the floor panel top face.
