PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, a focus detection apparatus, and a focus detection method capable of combining high-speed live view display with focus detection.SOLUTION: An imaging device 208 comprises imaging pixels and focus detection pixels. An imaging control circuit 210 reads pixel signals from the imaging pixels or focus detection pixels.
