The tool chuck has a hed and a shaft, and is applied in or against a workpiece. A number of components (19, 21, 22) with a connection device (15) are fitted on the tool housing (11) and are arranged around the drive unit, (12, 13) the components being displaceable parallel to the direction in which the tool drive moves the article (14) forwards relatively to the workpiece. The components have a two-position locking arrangement, (27, 28) i.e. for locking in the first position and unlocking in the second. A tension device (25, 29, 34) presses down on the components in the first position. The components either comprise a number of fingers extending parallel to the forward feed direction, or at least two housing (19, 21) arranged concentrically to the axis of the tool drive (12, 13).
