PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat tube for a heat exchanger showing superior anticorrosion, producing no peeling or separation of brazing composition when it is assembled and provide a heat exchanger having the flat tube.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a flat tube for a plate-fin type heat exchanger in which a plurality of plate type fins are spaced apart by a prescribed space having a plurality of grooves or holes and they are fitted into a groove or a hole formed at each of the fins, a coating film of brazing composition having binder added to mixture of brazing powder containing Si and fluoride flux containing Zn is applied and the coating film having a surface roughness Ra 5 μm or less, a pencil scratching hardness 3B or more and H or less is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
