At least one subsidiary hollow conductor section (I) is attached to one or both ends of a microwave hollow conductor channel for continuous dielectric heating of strip materials. (I) are attached perpendicularly to the axis of the main channel. The end of each (I) remote from the main channel is conductively closed by a metallic wall. Each (I) has a depth of one quarter of the wave generated in (I). Used e.g for heating of extruded rubber material. Energy losses from the entry and exit openings of the main channel are eliminated.
