The amphibious conversion has arms pivotted about a longitudinal axis at the front and rear of the vehicle. The arms carry floats (2) at the ends, with each float joined by front and rear arms. One float can be swung to the right of the vehicle and one to the left, to form a double float support. The floats are carried above the vehicle when travelling on land. The operating arms are powered by the vehicle hydraulics, while the water propulsion screw is linked to the vehicle PTO. No body waterproofing need be used to convert conventional utility vehicles into amphibious types.
