1524300 Electric initiators ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 18 May 1976 [17 Oct 1975 25 Oct 1975 (2) 28 Oct 1975] 20514/76 Heading F3A A resin plug for rendering an electric initiator resistant to static electricity comprises insulating resin parts 2a, 2b and an electrically conducting resin part 10 surrounding electric lead wires 3, 4 and having a volume resistivity in the range of 5 #cm. to 100 K#cm. whereby the electrical energy from an electrostatic discharge occurring, in use, between the metallic casing 9 of the initiator and the resin part 10 is dissipated as the current flows through the part 10. The electrically conductive resin 10 comprises, as a major component, polyamides, polypropylenes, polyacetals, polyesters and polyurethanes having a melting or softening point of 150‹ C. or higher; as a minor component, polyethylenes, ethylene copolymers and ionizable co-polymers obtained by reacting a metallic ion with a co-polyrner of ethylene and an α,#-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid; and carbon black. The electrically conductive resin also includes additives selected from paraffin wax, liquid paraffin, an amine system surfactant, polyoxyethylene dodecylamine, oxyethylene laurylamine, calcium stearate, stearic acid monoglyceride, dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl adipate and #-caprolactum. |
