<p>The system is for improved sealing of a framed pane of glass held in a fixed window or door frame, affording insulation from cold outside air, wind, rain and protection for outer parts of the frame if it is made of wood or subject to corrosion. For this purpose a sealing unit (38) is provided in the fixed frame (16), fitted directly against the pane of glass (14). The fixed frame may protrude beyond the pane's frame (12). The sealing unit may be fastened to a strip (20, 22, 24) attached to the fixed frame, pref. overlapping the glass pane. The sealing units may be lip-type seals, made of rubber or plastic.</p> |
