<p>The pneumatic brakes for the train have protection valves which monitor the airflow and which apply the brakes when a brake line breaks. In this setting the supply line is shut off from the brake line. In order to provide protection during brake venting, a time delay is operated from the onset of brake venting, reset the flow protection after a set time. The system allows the emergency braking to operate during the brake venting sequence, especially when a brake line is cut. The supply line is shut off immediately, without having to wait for the airflow to stop, to reset the brake control.</p> |
