Dishwasher with spray arm directed toward crockery tray - has throttle sleeve controlling fluid supply according to crockery load

The dishwasher machine has a crockery tray (13) mounted above a rotatable spray arm (21) which is fitted with a throttle sleeve (32) which immerses different depths into the arm interior (30) to control the supply of liquid. The throttle sleeve is connected with a sensor pin (39) which passes coaxially through the spray arm bearing (34) and engages against the base (14) of the crockery tray. The sleeve and pin occupy little space protected inside the spray arm and bearing but allow a reliable control of the supply of wash fluid to the spray arm. With a lightly loaded tray the sleeve immerses deep into the spray arm so that only comparatively little wash fluid is supplied, with the opposite reaction in the case of a heavily loaded tray.
