A plaster mortar is made from: (a) a semi-hydrated 100% Alpha plaster; (b) a silica of which the particle size is exactly determined; (c) pure extra while atomized lime; (d) 100% acrylic emulsion; (e) styrene butadiene latex emulsion. The ratio of the semi-hydrated carrier to the 100% acrylic emulsion and the styrene butadiene latex (of 50% dry extract) is 10:7 max. (d):(e) is 27:40 max. If (d) is replaced by (e) the (a) to (e) ratio is always 10:7. This gives a plaster mortar with improved physical properties, such as binding force, and resistance to pressure, bending, and strain.
|
