<p>The water divining system is of the pendulum type. It has two discs (1, 2) separated by a circular joint (3) a millimetre thick. In the enclosed space between the disc are placed iron filings. The weight of these filings being varied according to the dimensions of the system. The discs (1, 2) are gripped in an antimagnetic support (5) which is suspended from a chain (6) by a loop (7). A suspended magnet (8) is also attached to the loop (7). The system is held in the hand by the chain (6). The magnet (8) moves over the upper disc (1) and moves particles of iron filings. The movement of the iron filings is compared with lines drawn on a disc of paper (10) fitted under the lower disc (2).</p> |
