<p>Method for mfg. wallpaper resembling printed fabric is carried out by using crepe paper with a crepe level of less than 25%, pref. 10-15% which, after adhesion to a paper base, is subjected to the conventional operations of printing, protection with varnish, and finishing. The crepe paper may be entirely on the base of a paste of cellulosic fibres, or with the addition of a certain percentage of synthetic fibres to allow washing with an improvement in preservation of the properties of the crepe paper. The wall paper allows easy hanging, maintenance, and stripping from the paper base which remains adhered to the wall.</p> |
