PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide effective HCMV vaccine and beta herpes virus contained in such vaccine.SOLUTION: There is provided beta herpes virus, which is non-propagative, preferably recombinant, endothelium and having wild-type-like virion surface. There is also provided beta herpes virus which is suitable for induction of immuno response or capable of inducing immuno response, preferably the immuno response comprises neutralizing antibody against the beta herpes virus and CD4+ and CD8+T cells against epitope of the beta herpes virus, the immuno response comprising a neutralizing antibody, and the beta herpes virus is prevented from infection into an endothelial cell and/or epithelial cell by the neutralizing antibody.SELECTED DRAWING: None
