<p>The drive fits onto the transom (8) of the craft and is clamped onto a bracket (57). The drive has an arm (60) pivoted around the pin (55). The arm supports an engine (50) supported on a bracket (53). Two cranks (51, 52; 53, 54) each drive the paddles through ties (46, 47). Each paddle is pivoted on an axis (3) which is fixed to the end of the arm. The paddles (2, 21) are allowed to swivel sideways around the axis pin (3), such that one paddle moves to one direction as the other moves in the opposite direction.</p> |
