The discharge ends of tubes (7) leading from a material hopper are provided with casings (10) each comprising at least two guide surfaces (12, 13) of different lengths and curved towards the soil. All the casings (10) are identical and are curved over perpendicularly to the soil. The casings (10) may instead supply the material obliquely to the soil. The casings (10) each comprise at least two guide surfaces of different curvature to spread the jet of material. The distance between the curved-over parts of the guide surfaces (12, 13) is less than 30 cm, across the spreader.
