<p>The design concerns a seat belt lock with press button release and fitted with a device which makes the buckle of the lock assembly visible in the dark. The assembly consists of buckle, locking plate (2a) with one end of the webbing (3) fitted to eyelet (4). The locking plate is fully inserted into the buckle so that tongue (2a) engages with a plate (7) fitted with a protrusion (7a). A press button (9) is fitted with downward pointing extensions (10) in mesh, due to these extensions, with a plate (7). The press button has part of its surface slightly projecting above the surface (12) of the buckle and part extending into the hollow space containing a plate (2a, 7). The protruding part (14) and the extending part (13) form a hollow space, which houses a self-illuminating tube (15) with tritium gas. The tube rests with its upper surface against the inside surface of the cover (14).</p> |
