Counting machine for printed material - with latter separated from bottom of pile and transported to counting station

The counting machine is used for printed material such as brochures leaflets etc. and comprises means for separating the latter from a pile, transport means, counting means, and a reception unit, positioned one after the other. The transport device (2.... 4) passes below the separting means (2, 6) such that the leaflet etc. at the bottom of the pile falls onto the transport device (2... 4), after separation from the pile. The relative movement between the transport device (2,.. 4) and the bottom leaflet causes the latter to be moved forward from the bottom of the pile, with a device (7... 11) for separating it from the next leaflet up in the pile. Pref. the separating device (2, 6) uses an angular stop positioned above a transport web with one arm parallel to the transport direction and with a gap for a gripper (9) applied to the leaflet.
