The joint assembly is liquid-tight sealed between cable and appliance housing, and a deliberate breaking point for cables is provided when an excessive pull is applied to it. The breaking point can be reconnected. A pair of contact sets is inserted into each cable core. They are connected in series, respond to the cable pull and are opened at different pulling forces. Contacts with lower opening force are on the current supply side in a space liquid-tight sealed to the cable. The sealing is achieved by means of a membrane (22) controlled in position by two compression ion springs (23).
