Electromechanical beam deflection system - directs beam to two parallel mirrors to obtain parallel shift by changing mirror spacing

An i.r. visible or u.v. light beam is directed at an angle to the reflecting plane. It reaches two parallel mirrors or reflecting plates which are spaced opposite one another or at an angle. These anges are such that by changing the spacing of the mirrors by a certain amount of parallel shift of the emergent beam is achieved. The change is made by movement caused by electrostatic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, acoustic or thermal forces or by a combination of several such forces. This light spot control can be used in projectors, image displays, t.v. and oscillograms.
