The transmission system for synchronous and asynchronous data, consists of main transmit and receive submultiplexers connected to the data link. Transmit and receive submultiplexers are connected between the data source and the main multiplexers via sub-links. The submultiplexers at each end of the link are clocked by pulses from autonomous clocks. A cotrolled clock is used to drive the transmit submultiplexer and its signals are transmitted via the sublink to a comparator at the main multiplexers where they are compared with the output of the autonomous clock. The comparator controls a generator at the output of the receive multiplexer that indicates differences in phase between the two sets of clock signals. This indication is transferred back over the sublink to control the controllable clock.
|
