The wheel is mounted on a lever arm, which is pivoted to a second bearer fixed to the vehicle. A flexible core of rubber or polymer is arranged between the two pivoted arms to provide shock absorbing properties. The flexible core is held between the two arms in the unloaded condition by a sleeve surrounding the core so that a loose fit between the two arms is achieved without danger of separation. |
