Continuous band pressure filter for slurries - with pressure-applying belts synchronised to band and with pre-filter

The moving band esp. perforated stainless steel of a band filter passes between two sets of caterpillar-tracked pressurising belts whic run at the same speed as the main band. A squeeze pressure of 50-500 psi. is applied by hydraulic means. There is a pre-filter pressure band upstream of the main filtration unit. Filter is used for the continuous filtration of solid-liquid slurries. Dewatering equivalent to a filter press. is achieved in continuous operation.
