PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal or the like for achieving an electronic ticket system low in introduction cost, and capable of quickly entering audience and tearing off an electronic ticket without any need for a hall attendant to touch an audience's portable terminal.SOLUTION: Around the entrance of an event hall, an unused electronic ticket including a body part 41 and a half-ticket part 42 is displayed on the monitor 16 of a portable terminal 1. When a hall attendant checks the content of the electronic ticket to permit entry, the hall attendant turns ON the irradiation switch 23 of a light irradiator 2 to apply light to the camera 11 of the portable terminal 1. The portable terminal 1 updates, when it determines that the received light is light for updating the use state of the electronic ticket, the use state of the electronic ticket as used.
