In order to allow motorized running of a manually operated drive mechanism to a diaphragm 2 for an X-ray source 1, a drive unit 3 is used which is surrounded by a casing 4 and provided with an electric motor. The drive unit is fitted to a casing part 9 of a shape which attaches to the outer cover 2b of the shutter and receives its power supply from the power supply source of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is adjusted from any chosen site by means of an IR unit having a transmitter and a receiver 6 present on the casing part 9. Manual adjustment is permitted by means of a control knob 23, expediently the same control knob which was used for original manual control, which knob is fitted to the output shaft of the drive unit. <IMAGE> |
