The present invention relates to an optical sight base attachable to a firearm frame, the base (1) has in a frontal view a cross section shaped like an upside down U. The lateral parts (2, 3) of the base have protrusions (5, 6) for fixing the base into the grooves of the firearm frame and the first part (7) of the first area (41) of the upper part (4) of the base and rear part (8) of the rear area (44) of the upper part (4) of the base are wider in the edge of the base than in the centre of the base. This way the first area and the rear area form a wedge-shaped structure which allows to fix the optical sight always into the predetermined position while the optical sight is fixed firmly to the base. |
